What The Morning May Be Telling You Today

If I could hear the morning’s voice, I wonder if this is what it might be telling me:

Hey…psssst….little girl, time to wake up. Rise up, little earth-child, shake off your sleep–there’s something I want to show you. Quick, go take a peek out your window. You might miss it if you stay there in your bed. Go, look at the dawn–the first gleam of light. See how it comes so quietly? So peacefully? See how it illuminates all the world? The light you need–here it comes. So you can see.
Now, little girl, do you hear that Voice? Your Heavenly Daddy? He’s calling for you. He wants you to come. He has bread for you–His Word. And He is the Bread, the Word. You need Him today. You need what He has to give you. Though all the world may try to live this life on their own, you need to go about doing things differently.  This whole day is before you, but before you step out into it, you need some strength. You need some light. You need some grace. So, go now…

And little one, don’t forget to pray. Your Heavenly Father is good. He’s tender. He’s kind. He has good things to give you, but you need to ask Him for them. Don’t be afraid to ask. Have you been afraid lately? He is your Help. Have you been tired? He promises His strength. Have you been worried? He says to pray and to give thanks, and He’ll give you this peace that you just can’t find anywhere else but in Him. And aren’t there some people that you love, so very deeply, that need a bit of encouragement? That need an intervention? That just need to know about the Maker of the Morning? Pray for them, too. God cares about them infinitely more than you do. Now, go….

“If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me.” (Psalm 139:9-10)

“My voice You shall hear in the morning, oh Lord; in the morning I will direct it to You and I will look up.” (Psalm 5:3)

“I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121:1-2)
